Riaprono le Grotte del Caglieron

PERCHE’ ERANO CHIUSE?

5 DICEMBRE 2020 – Una bomba d’acqua si abbatte nella notte nel Comune di Fregona. Una delle famiglie residenti e’ costretta ad abbandonare la casa di corsa per non venire travolta dal fiume d’acqua creatosi in seguito alle piogge abbondanti della notte. Rischiano la vita ma sono salvi. Il nome CAGLIERON fu dato al torrente da due geologi che osservandolo dall’alto lo paragonarono a un grosso pentolone dove l’acqua bollente ribolle. Quella sera il CAGLIERON, gonfiatosi a dismisura, con la sua furia travolse le passerelle di legno che da poco erano state posizionate e messe in modo da garantire la sicurezza totale del percorso pedonale che si snoda tra grotte e piscine, tra anfiteatri di rocce e cascate cascatine e cascatelle. TUTTO DISTRUTTO, ma non la forza di volonta’ della gente di FREGONA. Tutti volevano riaprire le GROTTE prima dell’apertura della stagione estiva 2021. Il tempo era poco e ci volevano circa CENTOMILA EURO.

LA RICOSTRUZIONE

Francesca, la presidente della Proloco accetta l’offerta di un ingegnere di lanciare una campagna di raccolta fondi. 169 persone, 15 aziende e 12 associazioni concorrono e i soldi vengono raccolti in poco tempo. VENERDI’ scorsco l’INAUGURAZIONE con il taglio del nastro e da allora le GROTTE SONO APERTE. Domani, 2 GIUGNO saranno aperte al pubblico dalle 9 alle 18 (orario continuato) e nei giorni feriali dalle 9.30 alle 17.30 (orario continuato). L’entrata e’ gratuita per i bambini e i ragazzi fino ai 13 anni. Il PARCHEGGIO costa 2 Euro all’ora.

INFORMAZIONI UTILI

Per fare il circuito completo del percorso, a piedi ovviamente bastano circa 40 minuti, calcolando gli inevitabili momenti di sosta per guardare le bellezze naturali e scattare delle foto ricordo. DOPO i primi 500 metri in grotta (portate un berrettino che vi salvera’ dalle goccioline che cadono dalle rocce e dal sole quando uscirete) si esce all’aperto e si continua cosi’ fino alla fine, passando dal VECCHIO MULINO (che aprira’ domenica prossima a causa di lavori per la messa in funzione della RUOTA DI LEGNO) e dal BORGO DELLO SCALPELLINO. Ricordiamo che le GROTTE sono il frutto degli scavi nel corso di decenni da parte degli scalpellini che qui estraevano la PIERA DOLZA , una pietra leggera e adatta alla costruzione di moltissime abitazioni e manufattu del territorio (Il campanile di FREGONA ad esempio)

IL TOUR puo’ iniziare dalla GROTTA DELLA MADONNA, dopo il parcheggio, proseguendo verso la biglietteria la trovereta alla vostra sinistra. QUI, il giorno 11 FEBBRAIO del 1958 l’allora VESCOVO dI VITTORIO VENETO ALBINO LUCIANI diventato PAPA GIOVANNI PAOLO I nell’occasione del CENTENARIO del’apparizione della MADONNA DI LOURDES benedi’ questo luogo, come ricorda una vecchia iscrizione.

ALLA FINE DEL TOUR

Fermatevi a degustare il formaggio di GROTTA, il GROTTO E IL GROTTINO, un buon calice di PROSECCO e un panino con l’affettato. I ragazzi del bar sono veramente simpatici e vi serviranno con simpatia e solerzia.
